About the event
Mr. Terry Huizing presents an illustrated program about minerals that occur in geodes from sedimentary rocks of Middle Mississippian age.
Explore destinations like Halls Gap, Kentucky; numerous road-cuts south of Indianapolis, Indiana; and to the Keokuk, Iowa area where good geodes can be collected.
The program will explain how geodes form, where they may be found, and which minerals may occur in the sometimes-hollow centers of these interesting structures.
